Clearly i know something for italian, where there's a specific resource
(the list http://lists.softwarelibero.it/mailman/listinfo/dizionario),
but i think that a similar task can be found on spell checking.

So, dig around the french community of the libre spell checkers
(aspell, ispell and myspell, possibly overlapping OpenOffice.org french
commuity) and ask.
